Heard a speaker say organic traffic is dying and paid ads are the only way forward

I sat in on a webinar Tuesday where this agency owner claimed Google updates have made SEO basically useless for small businesses, and clients should put everything into PPC instead. But then I checked my own site stats and saw organic still brings in 60% of my leads with zero ad spend. Has anyone else seen a noticeable drop in organic traffic worth switching budgets over?

Wait, so the guy who sells ads says ads are the only thing that works? Shocker. I guess my 60% organic traffic is just a figment of my imagination.

Reminds me of when I tried to explain SEO to my uncle who runs a local diner... he still thinks the internet is just for ads. @piper779 you're definitely not imagining things, organic traffic is real.
