Vent: Bought a $300 'smart' closet organizer system that was a total waste

I saw an ad for this modular rack system that promised to optimize every inch of my closet space, so I spent a weekend installing it. It ended up being so complicated and rigid that I couldn't actually fit half my clothes the way I needed, and I just took the whole thing down after 2 months. Has anyone found a simple, adjustable shelving unit that actually works for a basic reach-in closet?

Honestly, that sounds like a you problem. I got the same system and it works great, you just have to actually measure your stuff first.

Check the calibration weight, mine was off by half an ounce out of the box.

Honestly, that sounds like a you problem" is a wild thing to say when the company sent out a broken weight. My toaster also works great, but I wouldn't tell someone whose toaster caught fire that they just need to butter their bread better. Maybe some boxes just have a dud.
