Finally cracked the code on why my houseplants kept dying in the kitchen
I watered them every week like clockwork, but they always got droopy leaves after a month. Turns out my kitchen window faces north, so they weren't getting enough light (I had no idea direction mattered that much). Has anyone else found a weird spot in their house that's actually perfect for certain plants?

Hold up, north facing windows actually get pretty consistent indirect light, which a lot of plants actually prefer. The real issue is probably that your kitchen gets really dry from the oven and stove, or maybe you were watering too much for the low light conditions. Droopy leaves usually mean overwatering in my experience, especially if the soil stays wet for too long. I had the same problem with a snake plant in my bathroom until I realized the steam from the shower was basically drowning it. Try cutting back on water by half and see if that helps more than moving the plant around.
