Tried talking to my tomato plants like my neighbor does and got 30% more fruit this season
I spent 3 weeks murmuring dumb compliments to cherry tomatoes in my backyard and somehow ended up with way more than the control group I left alone, has anyone else tested this plant whispering thing or did I just get lucky with weather?

Respectfully, I think you just got lucky with the weather. I tried the same thing two years ago with my beefsteak tomatoes but also kept a control group that I ignored completely. The ignored ones actually did better by about 15%. Talked to them the same way, same time of day, same spot in the yard. The CO2 from your breath might help a tiny bit but that's about it.

Soil pH and watering schedule matter way more than talking.

Funny you mention the weather angle, but nobody's talking about how the tone of voice might trigger pest responses. I swear my plants get fewer aphid problems when I'm in a good mood talking to them - could be the vibrations in your vocal cords actually mess with soil pests. Had a buddy who yelled at his peppers every day and they got wiped out by spider mites twice as fast as his quiet patch. Might just be coincidence, but there's probably some weird frequency thing going on underground we dont understand yet.
