My 11-year-old dryer quit mid-load on Tuesday and the repair guy's quote made me laugh
The drum just stopped turning halfway through a load of towels, so I called a guy out and he quoted $410 to fix a machine I paid $350 for back in 2015. I ended up watching a 6 minute video and replacing the belt myself for $14, though the old belt was so stretched out it practically fell off in my hand. Has anyone else had a repair quote come in higher than what the thing cost new?
