Got tired of my keys living in my coat pocket, so a hardware store guy in Tulsa showed me a 4 dollar fix
Stopped by a small hardware store on 11th street in Tulsa two weeks ago because my front door lock was sticking and I wanted graphite powder. While I was paying, I mentioned how my keys always end up lost in my coat pocket and the older guy behind the counter just laughed. He grabbed a small brass hook off a peg, about 4 bucks, and told me to screw it inside my coat by the collar so the keys hang instead of sinking. Took me 90 seconds to install when I got home and I haven't dug around for keys once since. Has anyone tried a different spot for the hook, like near the zipper, or did it snag on stuff for you?
