The kitchen sink backed up on Thanksgiving morning and I found a fork from 2019 in the trap
Woke up at 6am on Thanksgiving to a sink full of gray water that would not drain. Pulled the P-trap under the sink and found a child's fork stuck in there with what looked like 3 years of coffee grounds. Now my wife wants me to snake the whole line before her family shows up at noon, but I am not sure if I should rent a 25 foot auger or just call a pro. Has anyone dealt with this kind of sudden clog right before hosting a big meal?
