Spent 3 hours trying to print one page because my printer kept saying paper jam
I was trying to print a return label last Tuesday and my printer kept flashing a paper jam error even though there was no paper stuck anywhere. I opened every panel, pulled out the cartridge, even watched a YouTube video from some guy in Ohio, and it turns out a tiny piece of tape from the label sheet was stuck on a roller the whole time. Has anyone else spent way too long on something so dumb or is it just me?
Man, I used to roll my eyes at people who said tiny stuff like this could cause big problems. I always figured a paper jam error meant actual paper was jammed, period, and if there was nothing stuck then the printer was just broken and needed replacing. Then my brother in law showed me a video about stuck sensors and rollers and how one little fleck of anything throws the whole thing off. Now I check the rollers with a flashlight before I touch anything else. Three hours for a piece of tape sounds about right for how these things go. At least you figured it out instead of hauling it to the curb like I almost did once.
