Just realized I wasted $200 on a password manager I never used

Back in 2019 I paid for a 5 year plan on a big name password manager because everyone said it was the gold standard. I used it for maybe 2 weeks, then went back to my old habit of reusing the same password everywhere. Last month I got hit with a credential stuffing attack on my email, and that's when I checked my account. I had paid $200 for a tool that sat idle while my actual security was trash. The irony is that the free options like the browser built-in one or even a paper notebook would have worked better for me. Has anyone else paid for security software they never actually used?

man that hits home, I bought a whole VPN for 3 years after some sketchy wifi scare and forgot I even had it until my card renewal notice popped up last month, still using the same "password123" for everything lol.
