Warning: I stopped paying my card 2 days before the due date and started paying it the day the statement drops
Used to pay on the due date like a normal person, then read that credit cards report your balance on statement day, so my utilization looked maxed out every month even when I paid in full. Now I pay it down to $12 the day the statement cuts, and my score jumped 61 points in about 4 months. Anyone else changed their pay date instead of their spending?
Switched to this same habit after watching my dad time his bills around paydays his whole life, turns out the timing game is half the battle with money. Don't fight the system with willpower when you can just work the calendar instead.
