Paid $45 for a book of 500 story starters and I want to know if I got played
I bought this thick workbook of writing prompts at a used book shop in Portland last month for $45, mostly because it had tear-out cards, and I have only used 6 of the 500. The prompts are weirdly specific (one said "write about a mail carrier who finds a letter addressed to no one") and my sister says free prompt sites online do the same job for nothing, so now I am stuck wondering if paying for prompts makes any sense at all. Do you get more out of free random prompts or paid collections, and did the cost actually make you write more?
