TIL the old print guy who trained me was right about saving photos for the client, not the camera
Back in 2019 I shot a wedding at a vineyard outside Portland and delivered the files at full 24 megapixel size like always. My mentor Don, who ran a print shop for 30 years before he ever touched a camera, kept telling me to export a client version at 2000 pixels on the long edge and keep the big files for myself. I ignored him for 8 weddings because I thought bigger meant more professional. Then one bride called me screaming because her cousin stretched a shot across a billboard for a real estate ad and it looked like mush. Now every gallery I send gets sized down first, and Don still texts me 'told ya' every time I mention it.
