Had to pick between a 4K monitor and a pen tablet for my freelance design work

I went with the pen tablet and now my wrist hurts from hovering over the screen all day, has anyone else regretted that switch?

Dude the hovering wrist pain is real. I went through the exact same thing when I got my first drawing tablet years ago. What SAVED me was getting one of those cheap gel wrist rests and putting a stack of sticky notes under my arm to prop it up higher. The key is to get your whole forearm supported, not just your wrist, so you can glide the pen instead of hovering. Also try tilting your screen back a bit so your arm sits at more of a natural angle. That combo fixed it for me after about a week of adjusting.

Oh man, that hovering pain is brutal. I remember when I switched to a vertical mouse setup for my office work and ended up with this weird burning sensation in my forearm for two weeks straight. Had to rig up a makeshift arm sling out of an old scarf and some binder clips just to get through the day. Hope you figure out a way to prop that arm up or something, because that hovering life is no joke.

My buddy tried a vertical mouse and rigged up a scarf sling for two weeks.
