Why does nobody talk about using a toothbrush for brow lamination?

I had a client with super straight brow hairs that just would not hold shape, even with the strongest glue. After the third time it failed, I grabbed a clean toothbrush from my kit and used it to comb the hairs up while the glue set. It gave way more control than a spoolie and the shape stayed put for a full 4 weeks. But my coworker says it's unprofessional and looks cheap to clients. What's your take on using everyday tools in a pinch?

Agree with josephadams on this one. If a clean toothbrush gave you better control and the results lasted a month, that's a win. Clients care about the outcome, not the brand name on the tool. Your coworker is overthinking it.

Honestly, used a clean mascara spoolie to fix my brows once and it worked better than the fancy brush. Clients never knew and the shape stayed put all day.

Would your coworker also judge me for using a spoon to smooth my flyaways? If it works and it's clean, who cares what the tool is called. My kit is full of weird stuff that gets the job done.

My kit is full of weird stuff" is a whole mood. I once used a clean pizza crust to blend out a contour line in a real pinch. If it's clean and it works, the tool police can fight me.
