The defrosted squirrel that ruined my grandma's lasagna recipe

Back in 2018 my freezer broke during a heatwave in Phoenix and I lost like 80 bucks of frozen stuff. The only thing that survived was this weird old container of what I thought was leftover tomato sauce from my grandma. I thawed it out and cooked it into a full lasagna for my roommates. Turns out my grandma had frozen squirrel meat from a hunting trip she never told anyone about. The whole apartment smelled like a campfire and wet dog for three days. My roommates still bring it up every Thanksgiving and honestly it taught me to label everything with dates and contents. Has anyone else eaten something that turned out to be way off from what the label said?
