Am I the only one who remembers a smell from a house I lived in at age 4 in El Paso?

I walked past a laundromat in El Paso last month and got hit with this smell I haven't smelled since I was 4, like hot dust and diesel from the dryer vents. My mom said we moved out of that house when I was 5 so I never would've remembered it on my own, but the smell brought back the whole layout of the kitchen. Does anyone else have a memory that only comes back through smell and not from any actual picture or story?
