Unpopular opinion: the $60 laser level I grabbed at a flea market in Reno beats the one my old company spent $400 on

I picked it up last month from a guy selling tools out of his truck bed and used it to set cabinet uppers in a rental kitchen. It lined up dead level across 12 feet even with the tripod sitting on uneven tile. Anyone else running cheap levels on real jobs, or am I asking for trouble?
