Vent: That week where everything went wrong at once in June

Last June I had three service calls back to back where every single fix I tried made things worse. First a panel at 1423 Oak Street had a hidden junction box behind drywall that nobody knew about. Then I dropped my Klein screwdriver down a wall cavity on the next job and had to cut a hole to fish it out. Has anyone else had a string of bad luck where the universe just seemed against you for a solid week?

Man that's brutal. Last summer I had three days in a row where every job I touched just fell apart. First one was a simple outlet swap that turned into finding knob and tube wiring nobody flagged. Second job I put my boot through a rotted porch step and my whole leg went through. Third one I spilled coffee on a customer's white sofa and had to pay for cleaning out of pocket. Some weeks you just gotta laugh or you'll cry.

Did you check for knob and tube before touching that outlet, @patricia_gonzalez?

lmao three days in a row like that is a special kind of nightmare. i once spent a whole saturday chasing a short in an old house, found out later the homeowner had stuffed aluminum foil in the fuse box to keep the lights on. sometimes you just gotta sit down and stare at the wall for a minute.
