The week my area code got blamed for 11 fake 911 calls
Last Tuesday in Columbus, my neighbor's landline somehow auto-dialed 911 three times during a storm, and then the news ran a story linking our whole block to a prank call ring. I spent 4 hours at the police station explaining it wasn't me, but people in the group chat still side-eyed me like I was running some kind of dispatch game. Has anyone else had their phone or carrier randomly trigger emergency services, or is the whole 'signal glitch' excuse actually covering for something sketchier?

Gotta admit, stuff like this makes me wonder if the whole smart device glitch excuse is just the new "my dog ate my homework" for companies dodging accountability. Kinda wild how we're all just supposed to accept that tech does whatever it wants now.
