Pro tip: after what I saw at the Dallas airport gate last week, I started writing down every "coincidence" I notice for 30 days
I was sitting at gate C12 in Dallas waiting on a delayed flight last week and this guy next to me starts talking about how three different people he knew all got the same weird email on the same day. I laughed it off at first, but then he pulls out a notebook and shows me he has been tracking stuff like that for two years. Every time two things line up in a way that feels off, he writes it down, date, place, who was there. He said after about six weeks the patterns start jumping out at you and you stop trusting the "random" explanation. I am only 11 days into my own list and I already have 9 entries, including one where a friend in Phoenix mentioned a store closing the same week I saw a news story about it that never got picked up anywhere else. I am not saying it is all a big plot, but I do think we get told way too fast that things are just chance. Has anyone else tried keeping a log like this, and did you actually find anything real or did it just make you paranoid?
I kept a log like that for about two months after a similar nudge and the trick is to write down what actually happened, not what you think it means. Nine entries in 11 days is a lot, so go back and check how many of them you noticed only after the fact, because stuff you catch in real time holds up way better than stuff you connect later. Mine mostly fell apart once I looked at them cold, but two of them never did, and that part was worth the hassle.
