Paid $500 for a 'UFO detection' app and got nothing but pop-ups

Figured I'd try that SkyWatch Pro app after all the hype on Reddit. Downloaded it, paid the premium, and it just spammed me with weather alerts and ads for tinfoil hats. No orbs, no patterns, just a waste of cash. Anyone else get scammed by one of these apps?

Read a news article that said most of those "detection" apps just pull data from public weather satellites and slap a UFO label on it. Guy who made that SkyWatch app apparently used to code flash games, so there's your quality control right there. Guess $500 buys you a shiny lesson in trusting internet hype over common sense.

That flash game guy really made $500 off one customer?

Did you see that someone dug up the developer's old portfolio site? It showed his previous apps were all snake oil like "ghost radar" and "psychic hotline simulator." Honestly, $500 is a lot to learn that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably came from a guy who used to make browser games.
