My buddy's 5G conspiracy rant during game night got real awkward
We were all hanging out playing board games, and my friend Jake starts going off about how 5G towers are causing health issues. He was super serious, citing some video he saw online. Everyone else was just trying to enjoy the game, and it killed the vibe. I tried to change the subject, but he kept pushing it. Now, every time we meet, I'm worried he'll bring up another conspiracy. Has anyone dealt with this? How do you shut down these debates without starting a fight? Tbh, it's making game nights stressful.

Ugh, that sounds annoying but is it worth stressing over? Like, my cousin does this with chemtrails sometimes and we just kinda roll our eyes. He’s gonna bring up flat Earth next week anyway, so maybe just let him talk for a minute then loudly ask whose turn it is. It’s not your job to fix his weird ideas, you know? Just keep steering back to the game.
