Dropped $180 on a bull float extension handle and it paid for itself on one pour
Was fighting a 30x40 slab in Tucson last month and my back was killing me reaching across the middle. The extension let me get to the center without walking the mud and we finished an hour early with a way cleaner surface. Anyone else got a cheap tool that turned out to be the best money they spent this year?
Man that extension handle story hits home. I bought a $40 laser level off Amazon two years ago thinking it was gonna be junk, and now I use it on every single job. Setting forms, checking grade, even hanging cabinets at my own house. The thing has survived drops, rain, and being buried in my truck bed more times than I can count. Best part is when the old timers on the crew borrow it and then go buy their own the next week. Funny how the cheap stuff sometimes just works.
