The cheap underwater camera housing I doubted just paid for itself

I picked up a $140 housing off a salvage lot in Galveston for inspection work, figured it would flood by week two. It survived 30 dives on a pipeline job last month, including one where I banged it against a piling. Anyone else have gear that surprised them after you wrote it off?
