Showerthought: I was checking my line for a solid 15 minutes before every dive for years.
A new guy on the Gulfport job just gave it a quick tug and said 'if it holds, it's good'. Made me feel like I was overthinking the whole thing. Anyone else get stuck in a habit like that?

Let's just say I've had a few close calls. Almost took out a mailbox once. The method works great until it doesn't. Then you're just standing there holding a broken rope. Learned to double check my knots the hard way.
