Lift bag math changed after a 40 foot miss in the Gulf
Was doing a pipeline inspection off Galveston and my lift bag came up 40 feet short of where I calculated. Turns out the seawater density at that depth was messing with my volume numbers. Now I always add 10% extra lift for anything below 60 feet. Anyone else adjust their bag calculations for salt vs brackish water?

Did you check the actual salinity or just guess at the 10%?

My neighbor once measured his pool salinity with a turkey thermometer and declared it perfect, then we all ate burnt burgers. Did your 10% come from one of those fancy lab kits or a wing and a prayer?
