I know everyone says to start with the big events, but I just read 'Daredevil: Born Again' first

My buddy at the shop in Toledo kept telling me to read all the crossovers from 1985 first, but that felt like homework. So last month I just picked up the Frank Miller trade paperback and read it cold. I got the main story beats fine, and it got me hooked on the character way faster. Now I'm going back for the other stuff, but that jump-in point worked for me. Anyone else skip the 'required reading' and just dive into a famous story arc?

But you miss all the important context!

My team at the old startup made that exact mistake last year. We lost three months of work because we ignored the bigger picture.

Lol tell me about it, my brain skips context like it's going out of style. Ray_martinez82's story hits way too close to home.
