DAE have their moka pot explode on the stove and just stand there watching
I was in my tiny Boston kitchen last Tuesday, ground the beans a touch too fine, and when the seal gave out I got a geyser of coffee and grit on the ceiling so now I'm soaking the gasket in olive oil and weighing my doses like a lab tech, does anyone else have a grinder setting they refuse to touch after one bad morning?
Did it actually explode or did the seal just fail and spray coffee everywhere? That's a pretty big difference. A gasket going bad is a normal thing, it happens, and soaking it in oil and weighing doses like you're running a lab seems like a lot for one bad morning.
