My coworker says you shouldn't use AI to learn coding, but that's how I finally understood loops
I was talking with a guy from my hardware store's IT desk last Tuesday, and he said using AI to help write code is cheating for beginners. He told me I should struggle through every error alone like he did 10 years ago. But I've been messing with Python for 4 months now, and having something explain why my while loop ran forever is the only reason I didn't quit. I get that you need to learn to read errors yourself, but there's a middle ground. Last week I wrote a 40 line script to track inventory counts, and I understood every line because I asked about each part. Has anyone else found that tools like this actually help you stick with it, or am I just building bad habits?
