I picked PHP over JavaScript for my first project, here's how that went

Started building a small inventory tracker for my uncle's shop last month. I had to choose between PHP and JavaScript for the backend, and everyone online said JS was the safer bet. I went with PHP anyway because the tutorial series I found was way more beginner friendly. Three weeks in, I actually got the thing running without a framework, which felt amazing. Has anyone else started with the 'wrong' language and made it work?
