Wrote off carbon offsets as greenwashing, then saw a $12 line item rebuild a cookstove in Kenya
My cousin showed me the project tracker from her company's offset buy and the stove photo had a date stamp and a family name on it. Now I'm stuck wondering if the whole thing is just PR with extra steps, so has anyone here actually traced one of these payments to the ground?

Oh wow, pretty sure ProPublica found some of those cookstove credits were double counted.
