Remember when you could just leave the hose running and nobody said a thing?

I was watering my mom's garden in Phoenix last summer, and the old plastic connector on the spigot just cracked wide open. Water shot everywhere for maybe ten minutes before I noticed. I felt awful, like I wasted a whole swimming pool's worth in a drought area. I ended up fixing it with a brass fitting from the hardware store, but it made me start timing my watering to just 15 minutes, early in the morning. Has anyone else had a small mess turn into a bigger habit change?

Honestly, that cracked connector guilt is a powerful teacher.

Not sure I agree with you there, @anna578.

Remember that feeling next time you're about to rush a job. It makes you slow down and do it right, which saves more time later.

Feel like that guilt just makes me freeze up next time. Makes me overthink every little step.
