Overheard a guy at the Cars & Coffee say you should never store a classic on jack stands

I've had my '69 Mustang up on jack stands in my garage in Phoenix for the last 8 months with no issues and I think he's way off base, why does everyone assume the suspension will bind up if you just rotate the tires every couple months?

That guy's got a point actually. You're in Phoenix too, so you should know what heat does to rubber and seals. Suspension bushings and ball joints aren't designed to sit at full droop for months on end, they bind up and dry out fast. Had a buddy store his 'Cuda like that, ended up with flat spotted tires and a steering rack that needed replacing. Rotating the tires helps, but doesn't fix the geometry issue of the suspension being unloaded unevenly.

You know what, you're totally right, I used to think it was fine but that changed my mind completely.
