My neighbor in Tucson showed me his '67 Impala under a torn tarp and I finally got why he won't fix the garage
Stopped by Ray's place off Speedway last Saturday to drop off some mail that got mixed up, and he waved me around back to show me the Impala. Car's been under the same blue tarp for 9 years, but he pulled it back and the paint still had shine, no rust on the rockers at all, and he said the trick is the concrete pad plus a cheap box fan he runs for an hour after every rain. Told me he spent $340 on a carport kit once and it trapped moisture worse than the tarp ever did. Now I'm second guessing the plastic sheeting I've got over my Datsun in my own driveway. Anyone here actually had luck with those fabric covers in a place that gets monsoon season?
