Appreciation post: a $27 moving blanket trick saved my 1966 Mustang from garage rash
Everyone keeps telling me to buy those fancy fitted car covers, but I hung a cheap quilted moving blanket from Harbor Freight on the wall where my door swings and it did way more. My garage is only 18 feet wide so the driver side sits about 10 inches from the drywall, and after 2 years of dings I finally fixed it for less than a tank of gas. Six months in, not one new scratch. Has anyone else gone cheap on wall padding, or am I the only one who thinks the $200 covers are overkill for indoor storage?
