Vent: original trim code turned out to be a red herring
Spent 3 days chasing a factory paint code on my '71 Cutlass, only to find the cowl tag in the parts catalog was misprinted for that specific week in the Lansing plant. The real color was a dealer-added option shade that showed up in a faded invoice I dug out of the glovebox. Anyone else waste time trusting data that turned out to be wrong from the source?
