That $120 creosote spray was pure snake oil
Bought a can of that spray-on creosote remover from the big box store, figured it would save me an hour on a heavy buildup job in Salem. Sprayed it thick, let it sit forty minutes like the label said, then went at it with my rotary brush. It did nothing, the flakes still came off the same way and I was out the cash plus the time. I should have just stuck with my wire brush and a stiff scraper like I always do. Anyone else get burned by one of those miracle chemical cleaners?
