I read a study that said 70% of home cooks under-salt their pasta water

Found it in a culinary journal at the library, and it made me realize we need to be way more explicit when giving recipes to customers. How do you guys communicate proper seasoning levels without sounding like you're yelling at people?

Check the survey's sample size first.

Honestly that tracks with everything. People are so scared of salt now. It's like we got told to cut back and took it as "never use any ever." I see it with my friends, they'll make a whole pot of soup with like three shakes. Recipes should just say "add two big handfuls" or "until it tastes like the sea." Clear pictures would help too, show the salt mountain going in.
