Spent $3 on a bag of frozen mixed veggies and it beat my $9 fresh haul
Tossed the frozen ones in a curry on a Tuesday and they held up way better than the fresh stuff I'd bought 4 days earlier for triple the price. Anyone else mostly cooking from the freezer aisle now, or is that just me being lazy?
Frozen veggies are picked and frozen fast so they keep their texture longer than fresh stuff that's been sitting around. A lot of "fresh" produce in stores is already days old by the time you buy it. Sticking with frozen for cooking isn't lazy, it's just smarter.
