I thought my dreadlocks were a statement until a hiring manager in Phoenix made me rethink the whole thing
For 6 years I swore my locs were just part of who I am and no job could tell me otherwise. Then last spring I sat in an interview for a warehouse supervisor role and the guy flat out said they 'wanted a cleaner look for the front office.' Half of me says that's his problem, not mine, and I should've walked. The other half wonders if I'm just being stubborn and losing money over hair. Which side would you land on?
