Tuesday in Boise turned into my best install day of the year

I had a tear-out and reinstall for a 1,200 square foot office carpet scheduled for Tuesday. The old padding was glued down like someone used a whole drum of adhesive, took three hours longer than I thought. But the new carpet had a really easy pattern match, so the seams lined up on the first try. The customer even ordered the exact same color from the same dye lot, zero shade issues. Wrapped up by 4 PM and got paid in full on the spot. Does anyone else get those rare days where everything just clicks, or is it always a battle for you too?

Got a buddy who does tile work and he had one of those days last month. He showed up to a remodel where the floor was somehow already prepped perfectly, the tile pattern clicked in like a puzzle, and the homeowner handed him a cooler full of cold drinks before he even asked. He still talks about it like it was a miracle, but I figure those days are just the universe making up for the ones where everything fights you.
