Glue dried up 6 feet from the end on a 40 yard run in Boise
Was stretching a 40 yard run in a rental in Boise and about 6 feet from the end the seaming iron hit a cold spot and the glue set up before I could get the seam sealed. I ended up pulling that section back up, scraping the dried glue with a putty knife, and running a new seam with fresh tape while my helper held the iron temp steady. Took an extra 45 minutes but it held fine on the walkthrough. Any of you keep a heat gun handy for spots like that, or do you just rip and redo the whole thing?
Man I've been that guy holding the iron and praying more times than I can count. Cold spots on rental concrete in Boise in winter will humble you real quick. Heat gun helps but half the time I just rip it back and eat the 45 minutes like you did.
