Found out the hard way that a lot of pad I bought was stored flat in a hot trailer
Picked up 12 rolls of rebond pad last Tuesday from a supplier out in Fresno and didn't think twice about how it sat on the lot before I got there. When I unrolled it the next morning, about 3 rolls were crushed flat on one edge and wouldn't spring back, and the guy behind the counter admitted it had been stacked on a trailer in the sun through the last heat wave. I lost most of a morning re stretching those rooms around stiff, dead pad, and the homeowner noticed the crunch underfoot right away. Ask where the pad has been sitting before you load it, because once it's compressed like that it stays that way. Has anyone gotten a supplier to swap out heat damaged pad, or do you just eat the cost?
