The same job posting now asks for 5 years where it used to ask for 2

I applied to a junior analyst role in Columbus back in 2021 and got an interview with just a degree and one summer internship. Last week I found the exact same posting, same company, same title, and it now demands 5 years of experience plus a certification. I watched three other job ads in my field do the same thing within six months, it feels like employers moved the goalposts overnight. Recruiters told me they do it to filter out candidates, but it just squeezes out people who could actually learn on the job. Has anyone else noticed this ladder getting pulled up in their industry, or is it just the tech-adjacent space?

By that logic I should have about negative three years of experience by now, since my degree is older than the job requirements. There's a reason entry level roles get no applicants in this market, and it's not because everyone suddenly got lazy. Maybe I'll just start asking employers for five years of salary upfront to match their energy.
