The 10,000 follower mark that felt fake until it didn't
I run a small thrift flipping page and hit 10,000 followers last Tuesday after a video of a $3 dollar vase going for $140 at an estate sale in Portland blew up. I figured it was just a fluke number, but then three different local shops offered me consignment deals out of the blue. It made me think about how cancel culture hits creators who buy followers, but I earned every single one with actual resale finds. Has anyone else hit a random milestone that suddenly opened doors they didn't expect?

My shop passed 5,000 last fall off one oak desk I refinished, and suddenly two antique malls wanted my stuff on their floor. That single number changed how people saw my work even though the content itself never really changed.
