I finally fixed my sleep schedule after 8 months of trying and it was one dumb setting
I have been trying to fix my sleep for 8 months. I tried melatonin, blackout curtains, no phone after 9, a sunrise alarm clock, all of it and nothing stuck. Turns out my bedroom gets a streetlight glow through the blinds at 2am and my brain was treating it like a tiny sun. A $12 roll of black tape over the window edges fixed in one night what 8 months of gadgets could not. Anyone else find out their sleep problem was something stupid and simple like that?
That is so real and kind of funny in a painful way. My roommate had something like that, a little light from the router on the cable box that blinked all night, and she slept so much better once she taped over it. We spend all this money on fancy stuff and the whole time it's just one tiny light messing with your brain. Eight months sounds rough though, glad you finally got it sorted out.
