Vent: My buddy swore his $20 stove was just as good as my Jetboil
He spent 15 minutes trying to boil a liter of water in the wind last weekend. Anyone else get tired of the 'all gear is the same' talk?

My old Coleman boiled just fine in Yosemite last month.

Oh, I see what you mean, but that's actually a great example of what emma_flores is saying. Your Coleman worked, but a cheaper stove might have really struggled with the cold and altitude up there. The good gear just handles those tough conditions more reliably.
