Bought a $12 camp pillow as a joke and now I owe it an apology

Back in April I grabbed the cheapest inflatable pillow at a Walmart in Flagstaff just to mess with my buddy who swears by his $90 one. It looked like a pool toy and I laughed at it in the parking lot, then slept on it for three nights near Sedona and woke up with zero neck pain. The thing weighs almost nothing and I have used it on five trips since, including a rainy one in Oregon where it somehow stayed dry. My buddy still brings his fancy pillow and still complains about his neck, which I enjoy. Has anyone else had a cheap piece of gear completely show up the expensive stuff?
