Stumped on whether to charge full rate for a simple focus fix on a wedding day camera

Why do we always charge LESS for things that matter MOST?

Take care work, for example. We pay less for jobs that help everyone. It seems we only care about quick profits. From what I've seen, this hurts us all in the end. Your mileage may vary, but we should value what truly matters.

Why is that even a thing? I mean it feels like we got the whole system backwards. Paying less for the stuff that actually keeps society running is wild.
