Client asked me to copy a photo, then argued about wood grain direction
Last Tuesday a guy in Denver brought in a photo of a cabinet and insisted I match the grain exactly, but the wood in his pic was rift sawn and he wanted plain sawn because it was cheaper. He actually told me 'nobody will notice the difference,' so I built a sample and put it next to his photo on the counter, and he still said I was being difficult. Has anyone else had a customer fight you on something they can SEE with their own eyes?

Had a lady in Boulder pull the same thing with a fence repair, swore her cedar was the same as what I had in the truck. I laid a piece of mine right against hers on the ground so she could see the color difference in the sun and she told me I was just trying to upcharge her. Some folks decide what they want to see before you even show up.
